ABSENTEE VOTING

Absentee ballots for the General Election to be held on November 5, 2024 are available from the County Clerk’s Office.  Application for an absentee ballot may be made by the applicant in person, or by mail, or for the applicant, in person, by his or her guardian or a relative within the second degree by consanguinity or affinity.  Requests for ballots must be in writing and the last day to mail you an absentee ballot is October 23, 2024.  The letter you write must include the reason you will be unable to vote such as absence, religious belief, employment (including first responders, health care workers and law enforcement), illness, or disability and include the address where you are registered and where you wish the ballot to be mailed.  Absentee requests may be mailed to Suzan Stephenson, Linn County Clerk, PO Box 92, Linneus, MO 64653.  Ballot envelopes returned MUST BE SIGNED AND NOTARIZED or cannot be counted unless:  a voter is military or members of their immediate family living with them – or – persons who have declared illness or disability.  You may vote in person until Monday, November 4, 2024 at 5:00p.m. for this election.  The County Clerk’s Office will also be open for your convenience in voting on Saturday morning November 2, 2024 from 8:00a.m. to 12:00p.m.
